2019 Summer Math Camp at Navajo Technical University

We hosted a free math camp for students in grades 6 – 12 at NTU.
This camp took place June 10 – 21, 2019 in Crownpoint, NM.
The camp started in the cafeteria each morning and classroom sessions took place in rooms 208 and 212 of the wellness center.

Van Information

Please take the van indicated in your acceptance letter, unless you contact us and make alternate arrangements.

Two shuttles are running for the summer math camp. One route is to Window Rock Chevron gas station (AZ-264 & BIA Rte 12) [7:00 a.m. pick-up 5:10 p.m. drop-off] and loops around Coyote Canyon, NM. This route could stop at Ya-Ta-Hey, NM Famly Dollar store, will stop at the Twin Lakes Chapter House [7:30 a.m. pick-up 4:40 p.m. drop-off], and Coyote Canyon Chapter House [7:45 a.m. pick-up 4:20 p.m. drop-off].

The other route will start at the Window Rock Cheveron at 6:40 a.m. and continue to the Gallup East Shell gas station (3798 Rte 66, Gallup) [pick-up 7:00 a.m. drop-off 5:25 p.m.]. This route will stop at Fort Wingate High School Football field parking lot [7:15 a.m. pick-up 5:15 p.m drop-off] and Thoreau, NM Giant gas station [7:50 a.m. pick-up 4:40 p.m. drop-off].

Campout information

We will pick students up on Tuesday morning using the usual schedule. After breakfast, we will take the students into the mountains above Wheatfields lake for a campout. We will come back to NTU Wednesday morning and run a math festival. Students we will then drop students off following the standard drop-off schedule.
