This workshop took place virtually on October 23.
Due to the high demand for our virtual teacher workshops, we split and run a lower-level workshop (designed for teachers of grades K-5) and an upper-level workshop (designed for teachers of grades 6-12). The page for the upper-level (October 16) workshop is
Professional development credit certificates and stipends were offered for this workshop.
However, a teacher may only obtain a certificate and stipend for the lower-level or upper-level workshop, but not both. (It is OK if someone wants to attend both workshops.)
Participants have to have a current W9 on file with Kansas State University to get the stipend. A copy of the W9 form is available at the bottom of this page. If someone was paid for a workshop in 2021, the W9 on file is still valid.
The workshop featured 80-minute mathematical activities/explorations led by Pam Smith and Dave Auckly.

An Exploration of “youcubed” Tasks
In this session, we will explore several tasks recommended by Jo Boaler of Stanford University. These activities are aimed at grades K – 5 and provide engaging ways for students to develop and improve their number sense and operation sense.
