Washington State Mirror Program

We are launching a mirror program in Washington State!

Eventually, we will set up a new website for the mirror program. At first, we will use some pages on the NNMC site.

Our next big event will be a math camp at the Tribal School in Toppensih. See the camp site at 2019 Washington Summer Math Camp

We are leading math circles at Licton Springs School in the Seattle area. Dates for the Spring of 2019 are: 1/24, 2/14, 3/14, 4/18, and 5/16

We will bring mathematical activities to the MESA day at Heritage U on April 27, 2019. This event takes place 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Plans are underway for a two-week summer camp in the lower Yakima Valley this summer.

Past Events in Washingon

We already had our two festivals (one was part of the MESA day at Heritage U, and the other took place at the I-House on the University of Washington campus.) We have had four teacher workshops.

One set of math circles will be held at Licton Springs school this year. These circles target 4th-8th graders, but K-3 students are welcome with a parent. Snacks will be provided. The initial circles take place 3:25 – 4:30 pm:

Math Festival in Seattle, November 17

We will host a mathematics festival at the Intellectual House on the University of Washington Campus. This festival will take place between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 17.

Teacher Workshop in Seattle, November 17

We will host a teacher workshop at the University of Washington from 10:30 AM until Noon. We will have a few activities for students in case teacher wish to bring a group of students to stay for the festival. Please register at the following link registration link.

Teacher Workshop in Toppenish, December 1

We will host a teacher workshop at Heritage University from 9:00 AM until 3:30 PM. This workshop will be led by Brandy Wiegers and Emilie Hancock. For a full schedule and to register please see this workshop link.
